Morgan Brannon

Chair

Morgan Brannon (she/her) combines an analytical mind and humanitarian heart to ensure impact and profitability flourish. Morgan has a gift to effortlessly see how concepts and dreams can be brought to life. Inspired by consciousness, she's honest and provides structure while co-creating fresh approaches.

Morgan has experience guiding social impact organizations as part of her Entrepreneur In Residence role at Purppl, leading portfolio relations and impact reporting for Thrive Impact Fund, and through work with other values-aligned organizations like U Grow Girl.

Her approach is informed by past experiences in fundraising and leading Emergent Response at United Way, partnership development and project management at the United Nations, and project and data analysis at the World Bank. She also spent several years as a finance manager producing financial models and statements to inform firm expansion, growth forecasts & risk mitigation in the strategic management sector. She holds an MBA in International Finance.

Courtney Davies

Secretary

Courtney (she/her) was born and raised in the Okanagan, and is dedicated to the betterment of the community she calls home. She is grateful to have worked alongside and learned from wonderful professionals in the mental health and social services fields for the last ten years. Having witnessed the profound difference it makes when youth are given the support they need to create their best life, she believes all young people deserve this chance and is honoured to be able to support 3Trees and their mission.

Nick Schmidt

Treasurer

Nick, serving as the treasurer for 3 Trees, is a Management Consultant specializing in Economic Development and Private Sector Development. He has been instrumental in completing and implementing impactful economic development strategies and projects across Canada for all three levels of government, as well as businesses and non-profits. He is passionate about assisting organizations to build capacity, achieve their goals and reach their long-term potential.

His background in Entrepreneurial Development has seen him develop and deliver programs within business planning, marketing planning, and other subjects in a one-on-one and workshop setting. He also has experience designing, leading, and managing several community-wide projects with a focus on community economic development activities.  In his free time, Nick loves to enjoy the Okanagan lifestyle with his wife and two dogs. 

Ben Erickson

Fundraising

Ben Erickson possesses 15 years of senior-level management experience in Manufacturing and Supply Chain Logistics. His expertise includes operational and planning oversight, working extensively with Lean/Six Sigma teams, and collaborating with market research groups focused on consumer trend analysis. Additionally, Ben is skilled in graphic and website design.

I have accumulated 20 years of operational and planning experience across diverse business environments. My unique analytical skills have been instrumental in partnering with businesses to analyze, plan, and implement restructuring initiatives that drive substantial cost savings and enhance profitability in their daily operations. Proficient in various software suites, I possess a knack for quick learning, enabling me to seamlessly transition into new roles and identify areas for improvement.

While my expertise lies primarily in supply chain and manufacturing logistics, the skills I bring are applicable across a wide range of industries. Currently, I serve as the Senior Planner for Dairy Logistics at Vedder Transportation Company.

I believe it is every person's responsibility to drive change and actively contribute to their communities. Drawing on my prior experience with other non-profits, I am honored and enthusiastic to now be part of the incredible work that 3Trees Okanagan is doing.
